Day by Day:
Day one (1) Arrive at the Lodge…
- Arrive at Marchulla where you are met by the Himalayan Outback’s representative who will accompany you throughout your trip. The Lodge is situated less than a kilometer from the road-head, and will give you the opportunity to see local villages while the Himalayan Outback staff portage your luggage.
- After settling into your river-front cottage and sipping on some coffee or tea, enjoy a short bush-walk in the surrounding area with a local naturalist.
- End the evening around the bonfire with appetizers and enjoy a traditional Tandoori Indian dinner in our dining thatch.
- Finally retire to your cottage and enjoy the comfort of our classic rosewood campaign-style beds.
Day two (2) Full day wildlife safari in the Corbett National Park
- Begin your exciting day early as your hosts prepare you for a full day’s excursion into one of the most game-rich
parts of the Jim Corbett tiger reserve; the Bijrani Zone.
- As you hike to the road you journey in a in your 4WD along side your experienced guide, witnessing this unique and carefully managed preserve.
- Wildlife sightings may include the Asiatic elephant, various types of deer, as well as other indigenous wildlife and birds that make their way to these points for a drink of water. Of course one of the most exciting sightings is the regal Bengal Tiger! Your guide will constantly be in tracking mode to try to make this possible!
- Return to the Himalayan Outback’s, western Ramganga River lodge by the evening and enjoy a warm and scrumptious dinner.
Day three (3) Enjoy an active morning and depart post lunch
- Enjoy a leisurely morning with options of either a scenic village hike to the pre-historic Nagtale village along the western Ramganga river or then rappelling down a rock-face along with your certified rappelling instructor.
- After a delicious continental lunch, say goodbye to your hosts while you are accompanied to your vehicle at the road-head.
