The Kaziranga National Park boasts of the largest population of the world’s endangered “one horned Indian rhinoceros”. The Park also sustains half the world’s population of genetically pure Wild Water Buffaloes, Wild elephants and perhaps the densest population of tigers. It is also a bird watcher’s paradise and home to some 500 species of birds – The Crested Serpent Eagle, Palla’s Fishing Eagle, Greyheaded Fishing Eagle, Swamp Partridge, Bar-headed goose, Whistling Teal, Bengal Florican, Storks, Herons and Pelicans are some of the species found here

This trip is an easy extension to anyone visiting Arunachal or Assam in North East India.

Here is a brief Itenary of your trip

  • Day 1:Fly from Dibrugarh to Gauhati. From the airport you will be transferred from the hotel to the Kaziranga National Park. This drive takes about 4 1/2 hours.Check into your beautiful resort outside the National Park.Accommodation: Safari Lodge.

  • Day 2: Early morning begin your safari on the back of an elephant accompanied by your wildlife guide and one of our Himalayan Outback staff. Afternoon Jeep Safari.Accommodation: Safari Lodge.All meals included
  • Day 3:Early morning jeep safari with your wildlife guide.Drive from Kaziranga to GauhatiEnjoy a river cruise on the mighty Brahmaputra River where you may get to see River Dolphins.Accommodation: 5 Star Hotel in Gauhati.
