The Ramganga River is one of best rivers for both Goonch and Mahseer fishing in northern India.
This 10 day fishing adventure gets you to the heart of the region of Kumaon. Fishing for Goonch and Mahseer in one of it’s best known and prolific rivers, the Western Ramganga River.
This trip is best done in low water, April, May and June. Anglers should be prepared to spend long hours in the heat fishing for both Mahseer as well as Goonch.
Day 1 | Arrive in Delhi You will be met and chauffeured to your hotel. Roseate House (5 star) (5 miles from the airport). No meals are included on this day.
Day 2 | Welcome to Uttrakhand The hotel will arrange your transfer to the airport. Board the one hour flight to Pantnagar. Our staff will meet you at Pantnagar airport and transfer you to the Ramganga River, where we will have our staff setup a camp for the duration of your Goonch trip. All meals are included on this day.
Day 3 – 7 | Fish the Ramganga River Our guide will assist you as you fish some remote waters.. All meals are included on these day.
Day 8 | Ramganga River Resort After an early morning fishingh session you will be transferred to our Ramganga River Lodge.Enjoy the beautiful surrounding as the Lodge overlooks the river and the dense forest – this is the buffer zone of the famous Corbett National Park and there have been several tiger sightings from our Lodge.
Day 9 | Flight to Delhi You will depart after breakfast for Pantnagar. Enroute you will see the famous Jim Corbett Museum in Kaladungi – this was originally his winter home. From Pantnagar you will fly to Delhi and transfer to Roseate House. Night stay at Roseate House. Breakfast and Lunch are included on this day.
Day 10 | Departure from Delhi am. You will be transferred to the airport for your international flight. Breakfast is included on this day. Check out is at 12 noon
