Jim Corbett was a legendary hunter, tracker, conservationist, naturalist and author who lived in the Kumon region of Northern India. He was called upon by the local authorities for tracking & hunting “man eating” tigers and leopards in the early 20th century. India’s largest tiger reserve has been named after him, the Jim Corbett National Park.

This itinerary is a treat for all Cobett’s fans and includes a visit his summer home in Nainital, safaris and accomodation within the core zone of the Jim Corbett National Park and a tour of his winter home in the village of Kaladungi.

Here is a brief itinerary of your trip

  • Day 1: You will be met at Delhi airport & escorted to your hotel.
  • Day 2: Early morning train from Delhi to Kathgodam accompanied by one of our staff
    Drive two hours to your Lodge in Nainital
    Visit Jim Corbett’s house
  • Day 3: Early morning drive to see beautiful Himalayan peaks at sunrise. Spend a few hours bird watching in the famous Pangot area.
  • Day 4 – 6: Drive from Nainital to Kaladungi and visit the Jim Corbett museum and the village he had adopted.
    Drive to Jim Corbett National Park – enjoy a evening safari in the core zone of this famous tiger reserve.
    Stay two nights inside the famous tiger reserve with two full days of safaris with one of India’s leading wildlife & birding guides.
    On the evening of Day 6 you will be transferred to our Lodge overlooking the Western Ramganga River.
  • Day 7: Short drive and trek tracing Jim Corbett’s footsteps
  • Day 8: Enjoy a walk to nearby villages and interact with the local villagers
    Picnic lunch by the river overlooking the forest.
  • Day 9: Day 9: Drive (4 hours) to Kathgodam railway station
    Transfer to your hotel
  • Day 10: Check out from your hotel and transfer to Delhi airport for your flight back home
