The lodge also has access to three avid birders who act as birding guides in and around the area. You can go with them for a bracing hike in winter when the crisp himalayan air is refreshing on your skin and the mists curl up lazily from the river to hang around the tall grasses and the tall green giants of sal, or in the summer when the heady scent of the mangoes permeates the air as you walk under a canopy laden with the fruit. The migration of birds in winter make this an ideal place for avid birders. The staff is very hands-on and patient so it’s a perfect place to get kids introduced to this beautiful hobby.
