Overview:

The state of Himachal Pradesh is endowed with lush green forests, rich and bountiful orchards (apple being the most famous), rivers, lakes, snow clad mountains and a rich cultural heritage as can be seen from the numerous Hindu – Buddhist architecture that the State has to offer. It is varied and diverse in its landforms and culture.

The Sheperd’s Trail trek is one of the most picturesque treks in Himachal. During this trek we will walk through Alpine grasslands and cross over old moraines. Shepherds have grazed their herds in these grasslands for decades – every step is a photographer’s delight! We offer some of the best treks in Himachal
You will be rewarded with some amazing views from the Bhabha Pass. We will conduct a Pooja(Prayer) ceremony at this Pass to the various deities that are believed to be residents of these Himalayan ranges. This major watershed crossing is part of an ancient trading link between Kinnaur and Spiti and is still used by the nomadic Gaddi herdsmen who travel widely throughout these routes – this giving it the name of “Shepherds Trail Trek”.
We will be spending two days at Kaza (3,700 meters) to acclimatize & will structure these two days as per the interests of the guests. You will have the option of exploring the area with our guides & will do short walks to see the picturesque settlements of Langsa, Hikkim and Komic. Kaza has a beautiful & renowned monastery and is located on the banks of the Spiti river. This is definitely one of the best treks in Himachal.
