The Lodge
With only six cottages, each facing the picturesque Ramganga River, this lodge is ideal for a group of friends or family members. The hospitality is absolutely impeccable as most of the staff have been with the lodge for over a decade. Speaking of tucked away luxury, the lodge used to be accessible only by a 45 min walk, however as times change and development trudges along, there is now a path that allows you to drive right till the gate, and yet the Western Ramganga River Lodge still remains an undiscovered place in the Corbett area. Perfect for those who want to avoid busy spaces and crowds, for the nature enthusiasts and birdwatchers/ wildlifers. The property has views of the mountains, the river and Kalagarh Tiger reserve, a part of Corbett National Park across it.
The lodge itself is very tastefully constructed to be a part of the landscape: simple and eco friendly yet conscious of every comfort and luxury. The interiors are tastefully done with Campaign Furniture, like you’d normally expect in an African Luxury lodge. Each cottage is made with a mixture of mud and hay plastered walls that have a thatched roof overhead. This not only serves to keep the cottages comfortable for the weather as well as sustainable, but also lends a rustic, comfortable and cosy charm to them.

To keep the spirit of the wild alive, electric lights are restricted to the cottages and all the outdoor lighting is done with oil lamps that, as the sun goes down, transform the lodge into a fantastical vision of twinkling delight.
Culinary Experience
Even just relaxing on the porch of your cottage or in the dining area, you can spot flycatchers making swooping salleys, or a wagtail happily hopping along the riverbanks, maybe even a stunning Forktail! There are also occasional sightings of tigers, leopards & elephants, not to mention the deer and mountain goats.
Being in an absolutely remote area, this place is ideal for people who are “nature lovers” and want to escape the city, to walk the pebbled stream beds, smell the wildflowers and learn the art of reading jungle tracks and signs.
