Our Goonch Catfish Fishing camps

The Himalayan Outback’s Goonch Catfish Fishing Camps are based in Bikhiasen itself but are not limited to that. Your 7 to 10 day Goonch fishing adventure starts with your arrival in Delhi, where we will greet you at the airport and take you to your hotel.

On the second day, we’ll embark on a 6 ½ hour drive to our fishing camp at Bhikiasen along the Ramganga River. Days 3 and 4 are all about Goonch fishing at this prime location. On Day 5, we’ll drive to Thrar for an overnight fishing experience. Day 6 will see us move to another fishing camp near Marchula, known for great Goonch fishing. Days 7 and 8 offer a chance to relax and fish at the lodge. On Day 9, we’ll journey back to Delhi. Finally, on Day 10, you’ll check out of your hotel and head to Delhi airport for your flight back home.

Catch and release fishing method

Catch and Release is a thoughtful fishing method where we catch fish, take measurements and photos, and then release them back into the water. This way, we protect the ecosystem and ensure the fish can keep living. It’s a way to prevent over fishing while following the rules and regulations. This practice started in the United Kingdom and has now become popular in many parts of the world, including India. It’s all about enjoying fishing while being kind to the environment and respecting fish populations

Our fishing trips offer anglers a deep connection with nature and a commitment to conservation. It’s an “adventure of a lifetime” that leaves an indelible mark on anglers, both new and seasoned alike.
